Day 14 – A TV show you're currently addicted into

GREY'S ANATOMY

I never missed a single episode of Grey's Anatomy..
GLEE :)

Even if I feel like I am "slightly" old for Glee, I still enjoy their teenage dreams and dramas.

Day 13 – Your favorite musician(s) and why

I love the artistry of her music; the poetically captivating lyrics add drama.

The genius in jazz.

Steven Tyler is truly a one of a kind musician. He is endangered and special.

There is something about this family of musician that makes me love them regardless of what music they play.
Voice + lyrics = complete package.

Day 8 – A song to match your mood

*Source*

Firework by Katy Perry :-)

I have been digging this song ever since I got sick. Now that I am almost fully recovered, I still enjoy every line and beat.

Here is the lyrics:

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting throught the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin

Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep

Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you

Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light

And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

You don't have to feel like a waste of space

You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed

So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light

And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe-awe-awe"

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through

Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on slet your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe-awe-awe

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Geez. The excitement that I have for my latest workout craze is enormous. (Disclaimer: As of 1:12pm, I have not tried it yet, all I am saying is that I am excited. Haha!) In about three hours, I am going to have a workout -- finally! I will keep this blog posted, promise.

Next week, my hubby and I are going to try the 30-Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. Oh boy, I can't wait.

Day 7 - Your dream wedding

There is something so wonderful about my dream wedding -- I was totally awake the whole time! The dream became into reality last May 15, 2010 at Cheradel Celebrity Dome, Iligan City, Philippines. These are some of the snapshots:

The simplest and most delicious wedding cake.. ever! Chocolate (silver) cupcakes and one 12" cake with fondant icing!

Two loving people -- this is the first and most essential ingredient to a successful wedding.. and marriage.
The best part of it all? It was a fun and stress-free wedding.

Day 6 – A photo of animal you'd love to keep as a pet

Oh! I miss to blog about this.. I guess the reason for that is obvious. I am not a pet-lover and I don't have any intention to keep pet/s other than the five kois and two janitor fish that we keep at home in our pond-like outdoor aquarium. Well, I used to love dogs; I had them when I was younger.. But as I grow up, my schedule became more hectic and my lifestyle became more demanding that I cannot afford to take care of any pets.

Just to be clear about this no-pet-policy, I do not hate animals. In fact I love reading about them and visits to zoos always excite me. I just think that I am not qualified to be an owner of any.

(photo will be attached soon)

Day 5 - – A photo of yourself two years ago

Taken last February 25, 2009
This was how I look two years ago. I had longer (just two inches above the waist-length), straighter and more beautiful (super black) hair and my make-up was a natural look; even the color of my contact lens was natural, cinnamon. Today, I colored my hair (plus highlights) and have a new layered cut. My make-up is also dramatic; and the color of my contact lens is charcoal. I can say that after two years I have changed. I become more adventurous in style (especially in substance). Cheers to the change! *winks*

Day 4 – Your favorite photograph of your best friend

Now this one is tough. I basically have at least 6 sets of best friends (not to mention the close friends I had in my younger days, I still treasure them dearly; P.S. I know they know who they are). My best friends are:

the love of my life, my best-est friend,
Abdelnur Campong

my number 1 fan and critique,
my ever dearest Mom

my girlfriends (UL-BR):
Raga, Monch and Miz

GYVES: Abde and Bez

My SSEAYP Balanghay family :)

My PMP (Philippine Minority Program) comrades
and Tita Lin (representing NIU ITO)

I consider my SSEAYP and PMP comrades as best friends even if I spent so little time with them -- that's because we still maintain good communication and we always keep each other posted in case of special events and crisis.  For a greater cause, they are my brothers and sisters for life!

Day 3 – Your idea of a perfect first date

I am one of those who believe that it's who you are dating with that makes any date perfect. But assuming that all men are equal (uhhmmm, this is no way possible), my idea of a perfect date would be this:

* Ice-skating! *

Of course my date does not have to be a pro in figure skating, but I do want us to guide each other as we glide in the ice. LOL I will know if he is man enough to stand by my side for better or for worse. Nyahyah!

After ice-skating, we will have pizza, pasta and ice-cream for snacks.  I will know him more according to his choice of pizza toppings, kind of pasta and flavor of ice-cream.

(P.S. All expenses have to be shouldered by my date.)

Perfect!

Plants versus Zombies: More than What Meets the Eye

I never had the intention to play Plants versus Zombies (PVZ) until I explored my dad's IPad.  Seriously, had I known that PVZ is its abbreviation, I would not have opened the "mysterious" icon.  So there, after surviving level 1, I played the next level and then another and then another.. Later I realized that I was so into the game that I even sacrificed a meal or two.  (Hmm My UTI could have been triggered by PVZ since I kept on holding my bladder. I knew it!  PVZ is the culprit. Tsk..)  I was sleepless for a night or two when my dad left for Butuan because he, of course, took his IPad with him. *big SIGH*  So I harassed my hubby to look for a PVZ installer and install it in my laptop.  Harassment, successful!  I have been playing the game ever since...

But this is not about how PVZ turned me into a psychopath zombie-killer.  Okay, the plants are so adorable, except for the ugly looking chili, grumpy squash, witch-y tangle kelp and boring tall-nut; and the zombies can be so annoying that anyone would like to kill them making them double-dead.  I noticed that behind the fascinating graphics is the humor of the game that can easily glue its players even after surviving the adventure mode.

This is "Endless Survival," the last among the eleven Survival Levels.  I have no idea how many flags are in this last level.  The earlier levels have four flags, then ten flags..

This is how my Zen Garden looks like after feeding my plants.  Stinky Snail did all the collecting work.  When you give a bar of chocolate to Stinky, it can collect coins and gems up to one hour.  So whenever I take a nap or cook or take a bath, I just leave my laptop on with Stinky doing all the job.  After one hour, taadddaaah! I have at least $12,000!  The chocolates and plants can be found while playing the Adventure Mode or Survival Mode.  Crazy Dave sells Marigold for $2,500 each, Stinky the Snail for $3,000, Golden Water Can for $10,000, 5 bags of fertilizer for $750 and 5 bottles of bug sprays for $1,000.

This is how hungry plants look like.

I have completed all plants including the Imitater and Wall-Nut First Aid which are not in the Almanac.  My favorite plants is, of course, Sunflower!

I hate Gargantuar and imp zombies because they can destroy your plant with just one blow.  It was somewhere between the 13-15th flag (Survival Mode) where there will be a group of at least 8 Gargantuars and imps, not to mention more than a dozen of Pogo Zombies, Digger Zombies, Balloon Zombies and Dolphin Rider Zombies, attacking your lawn.

I have already completed Adventure Mode but I have not encountered the Ice something Zombie.  So there is one slot missing.

I will write about the Tree of Wisdom soon.  GTG.  I need to feed my hungry plants.  *hugs*
